The 45th Annual Greater Greensboro CROP Hunger Walk is Sunday, Oct. 5, at Barber Park. Registration and activities will begin at 1:30 p.m. with the walk scheduled to start at 2:30 p.m.
To participate and represent Saint Matthews UMC, to give a donation and/or to purchase a T-shirt ($7 each), contact Karlah Burton for details.
The community-based walk is a fundraising event created to support the mission of Church World Service, a faith-based organization that is transforming communities around the world through just and sustainable responses to hunger, poverty, displacement and disaster. Twenty-five percent of funds raised are used to support local hunger fighting efforts.
The Greater Greensboro CROP Hunger Walk is the fifth largest walk in the nation! Come walk with us to end hunger one step at a time!
