The Safe Sanctuaries Ministry of Saint Matthews United Methodist Church (SMUMC), in collaboration with the North Carolina Conference of the UMC, will offer Safer Sanctuaries training on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2025, from 8:15 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. in the SMUMC Bethea Chapel.

Those who serve in any of the following capacities are invited to attend:

• Church leaders (clergy or laity) responsible for creating, revising or training others in Safer Sanctuaries;
• Anyone new to Safer Sanctuaries (or anyone who wants a refresher);
• Children or youth ministry leaders (or anyone tasked with training volunteers in their church’s policy; and/or
• Congregational care leaders working with vulnerable adults.
