The spiritual principles of Faith, Courage, Tenacity and Godly Passion guide the life and ministry of Pastor Tamara M. Ingram.
She was called to the work of God at the age of 13 and with the help and favor of the Holy Spirit, she has been strengthened and anointed for the work of ministry. She is inspired by the words of Jesus in the sacred text of Luke 4:18-19: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed: To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”
Reverend Tamara Ingram, affectionately known as Pastor Tammy, is a native of Greensboro, North Carolina. She is a faithful servant of God, a gifted preacher, and a passionate teacher of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Pastor Tammy earned her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she received a degree in Economics. She later answered God’s call to pastoral ministry and pursued her theological education at Hood Theological Seminary in Salisbury, North Carolina, where she earned a Master of Divinity degree.
Before entering full-time pastoral ministry, Pastor Tammy worked in insurance management for over 25 years. However, she felt the unmistakable call of God upon her life and responded with obedience, dedicating herself to glorifying God through preaching, teaching, and spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Her heart’s desire is to edify and strengthen those within the church, while also evangelizing those who have not yet accepted Christ as their personal Savior.
Pastor Tammy is an ordained elder in the Western North Carolina Conference of The United Methodist Church. She also serves as chair of the Conference Committee on Religion and Race, where she works to build the skills and capacity of individuals, churches, and organizations in the areas of anti-racism, racial equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Known for her powerful and Spirit-filled preaching, Pastor Tammy inspires listeners to fulfill their divine purpose by pursuing Christ-likeness, practicing Christ’s love, and promoting Christ’s legacy. Her ministry reflects a deep commitment to the Word of God, the work of the church, and the transforming power of Jesus Christ.
Pastor Tammy is married to Rev. Rod Ingram. Together, they are the proud parents of two adult sons, Marc, who is married to Charity, and John Cameron. Their latest and greatest titles are MiMi and Paw-Paw to their beloved grandchildren, Katelyn, Carmen, and Charlie.
