CROP Walk (Greater Greensboro CROP Hunger Walk)
The Greater Greensboro CROP Walk uses monies raised to help fund Potter’s House Community Kitchen/Greensboro Urban Ministry. CROP Hunger Walks help to support the overall ministry of Church World Service with special emphasis on grassroots hunger-fighting development efforts of partner agencies in 32 countries around the world. CROP Hunger Walks help to empower people to provide for themselves including seeds and tools; wells and water systems; together with technical training and funding; while encouraging people to work together to identify development priorities, strengths and individual needs. Each local CROP Hunger Walk can choose to return up to 25 percent of the funds it raises to local hunger-fighting programs.
