Ethnic scholarships are funded 35% by communion special Sunday offering normally in October (please give). Listed below are a few opportunities: 

• UMC General Board of Higher Education Ministry Scholarships available. For more information: https://www.gbhem.org/scholarships/ 
• United Methodist Higher Education Foundation scholarships: Apply by March 1 at https://umhef.org/apply. (Scholarships from UMHEF are separate from those offered by the General Board of Higher Education and Ministry.) 
• United Women of Faith in the Western North Carolina Conference have a scholarship program for students attending one of the five UMC supported universities and colleges in NC. These schools are Bennett College, Brevard College, Greensboro College, High Point University and Pfeiffer University. All applicants must be members of the United Methodist Church and must reside within the bounds of the Western North Carolina Conference. The deadline for applications each year is March 1.
